If it isn't a tumor, is it a cyst? How does she know? Cysts can be aggravated by caffeine so lay off the cokes and coffee.
If a doctor diagnosed it, he could have told her what to take to shrink it, some respond to script meds...

go find a surgeon.
it doesnt mean she's for surgery.
its just that, it is better if a surgeon would be the one to decide if it needs operation or not.

she needs to see a dr and he will decide what to do! he may want to remove it or he may want to keep an eye on it for 6 months or so! if he removes it he will put her to sleep to do it. ive had it done and mine was benign (no cancer) . just have her check with her dr.
