Oh, please. I live in the Philippines and believe me, minimum wage workers here would DIE for minimum wage in America. Americans who get minimum wage SERIOUSLY need to get out more and explore the world; really, all they have to do is get a visa and a passport, then buy a ticket and explore. I suggest they go to third world countries such as mine; hopefully they'd quit whining about their minimum wage problem. No matter how much they ***** and complain, there's no denying that even the poorest people in America are some of the richest people in the world.

And with regards to moving away, well, everybody knows many Americans have small global footprints and would rather not go anywhere outside the States. If they moved to Europe, for example, where not everyone speaks English and where in some cases most people are more religious or more passionate or more aggressive or more stylish than they, they'd have a difficult time adjusting.

And not everybody wants to actually live somewhere where they'd stick out like a sore thumb because they don't speak or act the way everyone else does. The typical American attitude is deplorable, but it's also understandable.

Raising minimum wage isn't going to fix the problem its only going to cause business owners to raise the prices of their items. It will have a "trickle up effect" and then come back down on the consumer again. BAD IDEA!

Instead of moving to another country get an education and move up in the world. That's how America works, by not relying on your government to wipe your ***.

1. Most Americans earn more than minimum wage.
2. I love visiting other countries but I've never been to one I'd rather live in than the US.

How can someone making minimum wage afford to move anywhere, let alone out of the country?

We can't legally work in other countries.

Temporary visas are not available to Americans and permanent skilled worker visas are damn near impossible to get unless you have important skill - and people with important skills are not the ones working for minimum wage.
