project on financial analysis?

i am doing my graduation (final year)& doing an individual project on financial analysis of a company .for which i need to do a comparitive study on 2 companies . i would like to go for manufacturing companies rather than finance companies or any other such good companies except finance. i need guidance . please suggest me some 2 or 3 good companies

Why not pick General Electric and IBM? They're known to everyone and the financials are well prepared. Their 2006 annual reports are given below.
