A hangover is a combination of dehydration and alcohol withdrawal. (That's why "hair of the dog" works for many). The moral of the story? Alcohol withdrawal sucks after one night of drinking too much. Imagine how much quitting sucks after 20 years of drinking too much! I will tell you, though, that a surefire way to get pukey or a headache is to mix your types of alcohol. If you're drinking beer, stick to beer. If you're drinking vodka, stick to vodka. Make sure you're eating while you're drinking and for every drink, have a glass of water before you have another one. And just don't drink too much. Know your limit. :-)

My 19 yr old son has + he wont get up + open his pressies. think santa might have to take them away soon if he's not a good boy + joins the family for christmas !

A very, very slight one. My head hurts, but that's probably just lack of sleep. I drank a little bit last night, but not enough to have much an effect.
