Attached are the 2006 annual reports of Microsoft, Roche and Siemens. They're all well-known companies.

You might try looking through Value Line Investment Service in a library and examine their analyses of many companies to find two that you can compare meaningfully. I suggest staying with small companies with fairly simple financial statements on which you can do a very thorough job, rather than giant corporations with many complexities that are difficult or impossible to analyze. Once you decide on the two companies, visit their web sties and learn as much about them as possible, because many factors other then the financial statement can affect your analysis. For example, their governance structure, incentive plans, etc.
