I'm interested in getting turtles and I need to find out where to get appropriate equipment. Does this look like it would be decent?: http://www.guppysaquariumproducts.com.au/uv-sterilizers/aquarium-uv-light-6w-hang-on/prod_29.html
Also does anyone have any other advice on caring for turtles?

No, that light is useless for turtles. You need a UVB light made for reptiles, and it must say uvB. A reptisun or reptiglo are good brands. These lights are not cheap and they must be changed every 6-8 months as they will lose UVB potency. Here is the best website for turtle care--they need large tanks, water filters, water heaters, basking spots, heat lamps and a varied diet. Frequent water changes are a must.
