and had to choose between eating your own foot or waiting until your companion fell asleep and eating their foot? What would you do? I want to know.

Why do you want to know? In what possible ways can the answers we provide which are mere opinions, help, yourself? I only ask out of my own pure curiosity. Back to the topic:
I would neither eat my nor my partners foot. For one of many reasons...
1] If I ate his, he would become angry with me obviously, resulting in his or my own death once we get into a fight. If there is no fight or death, he would most likely (99.99% of people would) move to another area of the island, meaning I would ultimatley go crazy being alone.
2] Eating other body parts before the foot would be smarter, you need your feet when stranded, for hunting, climbing, swimming, etc.
3] By removing my or my partners foot, would result in a slow and painful death of blood loss, not worth it. The average person can withstand over a month of starvation before death, you cant survive a month with no foot (infections, blood loss, etc).
4] After eating the foot, what next? Im either going to be hungry again, or I will be hungry in an hour from then. Eitherway, it will only quinch my hunger, but not satisfy it for the remainder of my time being stranded, again, not worth it. If the only food is your foot or your partners, then that means your going to be dead soon anyways, why go through torture first?
5] I would just go hunt or find more food. Simple as that.

I think I'd allow myself to starve. I could not eat my foot or any other person's foot! I can't even eat a chicken's foot!

I would die of hunger. I would go to Heaven and be released from that hunger.
