It doesn't always happen that quickly. She should continue speaking with her doctor...another possibility is endometriosis...

Hey Buddy, 8 months is really a very short time to decide on this issue.
ask ur friend
1) Check whether she is getting her periods regularly
2) Whether she is having inter course in the mid of her menstrual cycle. (The percentage of getting pregnant is more)
3) Also take up the suggested tests through a doctor (both husband and wife)
There would actually many a reasons for not getting pregnant
Ask her to cheer up and take her check ups regularly. After all its a great miracle when every baby gets conceived and born in this world.

why? I wouldn't want to get my wife pregnant for at least 2 years after the wedding. Why are some people in such a rush to get married and knocked up?

I have to ask this because really I have heard people doing otherwise. Are they having sex in the right area? believe it or not there have been several cases where people didn't know about the birds and the bees. otherwise they might want to find out what her rhythms are and to get counts on his sperm.

8 months are not longer period, in the mean time get examined semen of yor friend husband first. count of sperm should be normal,

it is not unusual for it to take time to get pregnant.
If she is concerned, then she needs to see an OB/GYN Doctor
