is it about anger or equality?

i think at one time it was about finding a fair ground for women, but now it has become a playing ground for women who are bitter and angry.

abby the wage gap isnt there anymore you should research it, do you really believe that women should be held to the same standard as men? if the world treated women the same as it treats men you would have a different perspective.

First of all you are an idiot to suggest there is not a wage gap. You need to broaden your intellectually horizons, women do most of the worlds work and get a fraction of the worlds wages. Secondly, your characterization of feminism as a "playing ground for angry and bitter women" sounds like Bill O' Lie-Ly is your political mentor. I feel sorry for your daughters if you have or ever have any.

Hey I'm all for equal rights.

Unfortunately men and women are different both physically and somewhat mentally. I'm sure I just pissed off half of the people on here lol. But lets be real here.

I'm in the military if women really wanted equal rights we would have less than 1% of the females we already have right now... because men are required to run faster than like a 13 or they will fail... a female can run an 18 min mile and do 10 pushups and still pass. Women run slower and don't have the upper body we do thats its a fact.

However mentally were both pretty equal other than the small differences. I personally think percentage wise men are better at logical thinking. How many women do you know play chess? While peronsally I think percentage wise women are better at multi tasking, and are more emitionally caring than men... which is why they make good nurses and doctors. Women also tend to be better with finances. This is what I have concluded based on my life expeirences.

Like any cause, those who support it falsely & with ill motive, do it the most harm; Even more harm than critics of the cause.
Personally, I feel men who help women in being the best they can be, do the most for there cause. But then, maybe as a male I an bias here.
The reality is that men & women do have different strengths & weaknesses. Perhaps equality can only be achieved by balancing these strengths & weaknesses. If instead we damand or try to force total equality, we may do more harm then good to both sexes. Isnt that the difference between a good marriage/partnership, & a master-servent relationship?

I like smalls and juraki20 answers. I tell you I am glad I do not have to be in military for example and I know that men are much better in this then I am. I know that there are also in other things much better then I am and wow I am so glad that I do not have to do what they do best. On the other hand am I glad to be a woman and I know that I can do things better in some areas then men can do and indeed is this so fantastic that men and women complement each other so extremely well, if women would not be so dump and throw away what makes them to women. I observe this also in this society how many women believe they have to act more like men then women. Men and women should indeed have equal rights to be themselves. Each at the place which is best suited for the gender and both genders should treat each other with utmost respect.

well I think it's nice for the females, but if it is to create an equal pay for equal work, or equal standing in the political scene, and equal rights in ownership and owning land and such then they've done their job here for the most part. The only inequality I see these days are the pay grades and the bloody glass windows. But other than that I think it is time for them to export or at least start to think about exporting the movement to lands where the women are in grave danger and great need for what the women take for granted here in North America.
However if they are looking to be the equal of men? HAH! The fools. They would have to give up a vast amount of their matriarchal powers to climb down to the level of a " hunter-warrior " class. Because that is what we men are. We are hunters, and we are warriors. For a woman to be our equal she would have to climb down to our level and to be quite frank with you, if a women did that just to be equal then she is a female that I would not want to keep company with.

Sometimes my girlfriend gets upset for seemingly no reason. She'll say that she's getting her period and so I have to be extra sensitive. Is this "fair"? I'm not really afforded the same leniency. Women deserve to be treated equally regardless of their gender in the public sphere, but in the home, I think that women should get more slack if they want it because they have to give birth and bleed all the time.

While some may exploit it yes, in the end feminism should just be taken as equality for males and females. Females are still not paid equally and are held to different standards. There is extremism in every ideology but thats no reason to tarnish what good reform has brought.

It is a fruitless revolt against Nature which has made the male and the female unequal.... wisdom lies in taking advantage of the plus points given by Nature, whether to the male or the female, such that complementing each other is the objective rather than competing with each other.

It is the counteroart to male schovenism and is just one sex thinking they are better than the other so when it comes down to it I believe it was formed out of anger towards males and the male ego

Feminism is nothing but reprisal against all that man has done to woman. And women in their own way are trying to do a little compensation.
