It's good thing to do, but make sure you clean your toothbrush carefully afterwards. I find rinsing it thoroughly and then soaking it in listerine or another mouthwash keeps it clean!

my toothbrush also has a special tongue scraper on the other side of the head. It works really well, and it only cost a few dollars. Try one out and see!

:)

It's fine to use your toothbrush to clean your tongue. Risk of infection from what? It's your teeth and your tongue. I don't agree that 81% of bad smell comes from the tongue but it all contributes to general oral hygiene.

yes, maybe quickly rinse the toothbrush before scraping the tongue,if you're suffering bad breath try some mouth rinses or mouth fresheners,or get an extra strong toothpaste.

I get a mouthful of mouthwash and then do my tongue with the brush--then I spit it all out and rinse again--don't reach back to far--you could do damage to soft tissue. Just be gentle.

i'm not quite sure, but i've always been taught in school to do that (clean my tongue with toothbrush)... unless your tongue has an open wound, i wouldn't think that there will be an infection.

hope that helped :) and merry christmas!

yep - it's ok -

the only way I would not - is when I see my 3 year old granddaughter coming down the hall with my brush

that one goes in the trash - and I get a new one out of the pack (LOL!)

I am VERRRRY afraid of where it may have been!

all the best

Merry Christmas

Even with dentures, I brush my tongue regularly. It makes a big difference.

I brush my tongue when brushing my teeth. I've never had any problems arise from it.
