To Marco:
How is that hypocritical? There is nothing in the bible that says war is a sin, it says that "murder" is a sin, but not war. There is a strong difference between the two, get it right.

To buddyxlee:
You're right and cons do tend to do that, but what about the libs? There are really extremist libs out there that turn hating conservatives into a religion. They do whatever they can to make everone believe that Bush caused 911, Iraq is Blood for Oil, Bush is Satan, Neo-cons are the demons of the world, impeach Bush, etc. There are extremists out there that actually believe that Bush created Global Warming to kill the starving people in Africa!

I totally agree with you about extremist cons get really hateful towards libs, but don't extremist libs do the same...but 10x worse?

Cons. With Rush Limbaugh tongue lashing every single living being who doesn't live by the bible belt Christian conservative standard. Pretty much 3/4 of the country is demonized while 1/4 is glorified as the true Americans (How unpatriotic is that?) They paint their political and social opponents as either lazy, murdering, or Satan himself. Yes these terms can apply to some of the liberal party but a very small minute percentage. And since Cons listen to Rush and somehow get worked up into a blood frenzy. The same lines are said over and over again in some kind of euphoric chant by the majority of neo-cons. Well, there are a few cons that I have tremendous respect for that can actually use their own words and get their own reasons for why they do not like liberal thinking. The majority are your typical Bible carrying, Pro - Bush, Pro - War, Pro - life , Pro - "I'm right and anything you have to say is wrong" weirdos who do the Rush chant. I believe every American weather they agree with my views or not is an American none-the-less. To say otherwise is really against what the "U" in U.S.A is all about. Unity! If you are demonizing 3/4ths of the U.S what does that say about you?

Edit Response: Yes some libs do that but it's not on the same mass level of cons and no where near 10 times worse, libs probably do it a 2 x less than cons and usually cons did something libs absolutely disagreed with. Whereas Rush for the past 10+ years every week is saying something nasty about a majority of Americans simply to get the Republican base fired up. Neither is excusable though. If you are going to demonize a whole section of the U.S. you are not a patriot. You honestly have no business even being in this country if you are going to do that. But as for attacks specifically @ Bush, every American has a right to do that. Are you and every con Bush? No. That's like when cons attack Pelosi or Clinton ,ect ,ect I don't care that's one specific person, not a large percentage of Americans. But if your going to attack every person who is pro-choice as a auto-abortion baby killer as Rush does you just called a major percentage of Americans "murderers" for their beliefs. No , sorry that's wrong and unpatriotic.

You would have to take a poll to see which side has the most support, and then they are the most hateful group. One on one, I think the libs are the most hateful. They are by far the most vulgar and whinny bunch and quick to abort and euthanize and oppose the death penalty, yet they let criminals go free because it was society's fault. and you do not have to stand answerable for your actions. The Cons support the death sentence and the bible, eye for eye type revenge and those who do not work do not eat. Over the last 50 years the cons have toned down a lot and the libs have revved up, I think its a cyclic thing and given the season its the libs time for hate.spite and being critical to those who do not agree with them. If you read very many "answers" its the libs that are most vicious.

Conservatives.

The conservative view by itself is a very good thing; it is a counterbalance to the excesses of liberalism. But in the very late 20th century, conservatives' psyches became twisted by hate radio. Even the ones who didn't listen were affected by the rhetoric as friends and coworkers began to repeat hate radio talking points. The hatefulness spread into other media; the radio market for Limbaugh and Savage spawned the demand for Fox News which spawned the market for angry, accusatory conservative tomes such as "Treason: Liberal Treachery from the Cold War to the War on Terrorism." Books which purported to inform the common man were written to inflame and divide. According to Publisher's Weekly, "'Economics: A Citizen's Guide' is written in an angry tone, often accusing others of economic ignorance, as if that is the only possible explanation for disagreement with the author's views." Books which supported the repression and suppression of human rights quickly followed: "Invasion: How America Still Welcomes Terrorists," and "In Defense of Internment"

Consider the time frame during which the growth and transformation of conservatism occurred. It was not during the civil rights 60's or the free love 70's, but rather it happened during the 1980's through the present, a time during which the liberal movement was nearly dormant. Therefore, an outside force was necessary to stir and embed hate in the populace. I believe the "conservative" media and think tanks created were this force and that they have turned turned millions of concerned and politically interested individuals into hateful reactionaries.

The extreme ends of both Parties.

For every picture or story about a angry or hateful Conservative I can show you one of a hateful and angry liberal.

But you find it in the fringe ends. Look no father than the "daily koz" to see what far left hate looks like. But I am sure you can find far right sites equally as bad.

when it comes to extremists I have to say it is a tie.

LIBS.

I routinely overlook the political beliefs of my lib friends and acquaintances and make every effort to have civil relationships with them that transcends politics.

However, the moment they find out about my political beliefs I am verbally insulted, yelled at, blacklisted, whatever.

In short, I end up being treated in such a way that I would never treat anyone. Simply because everyone deserves respect regardless of their personal beliefs.

Pretty sad that the party of 'tolerance' has no tolerance for anyone who disagrees with them.

As a child of the sixties, I believe they have always been like this.

Cons, for sure. Sure the Southern racists used to belong to the Democratic party, but they were never considered liberal. They are conservative.

CONS. I really resent them for their racism, hatred, prejudice and war loving. And I'm not even a Democrat!

For some reason, they're always sour, bitter and disrespectful.
