There's nothing wrong with people, they are just normal stupid like the majority. They like to express themselves as this gives them the feeling of existence and because they have nothing essential to say, so they are just banal and silly. The advantage of the Internet is, that people sitting behind a screen can feel protected and so they are expressing them freely, directly in front of a person they wouldn't dare to do so, because then they might get a direct and for them frustrating answer. So let them express themselves with nonsense. The bad thing is that they are filling up the spaces and it is hard to find something that is really worth answering. If one likes to write then easily one gets caught in answering questions like yours and frankly, do you believe your question is much better than the average banalities?
Bomoon
Edit: Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. But you see how it works: Being frustrated because I was spending too much time in looking for a good question to answer, I got frustrated and when I came to your question, then I let out my anger. Not too strong, but you can imagine if a person is really angry and then will take any occasion to use a question to release ones accumulated anger. So realizing this in my own answer, I must say: Sorry! We are sitting all in the same boat, so better cooperate...

I don't understand your question! I agree with the person whose cell phone fell into the water. Of course keep it away from the water is the first thing, but what could be done to avoid that it falls into the water? I have found a perfect solution: I am carrying my phone in a plastic bag which is water proof and this bag is tied with a chain to my belt, so it can't fall into the water and in case I fall into water together with my phone, then at least the phone is save. Isn't this genius? Now do you think that there's something wrong with me? OK, let's say the cell phone would be a baby, then I might have to change some of my strategy. I could put a chain around the baby and connect it with my belt, but the plastic bag might not work, because the baby needs to breath, although one could connect the bag with an oxygen bottle, but I think this is too complicate also the bottle weights more than the baby, also I musts say that I'm living in a dessert and I haven't seen any water for some years - but I will think about it...
Thank you for your question that made me think and gave me the opportunity to express myself...

PS: OK, I hope this gave you a good laugh.
PPS: Hey guys, don't see thing so negative, people are what they are, we can't change them. The same with ourselves, we don't want to change if possible, only we will if we are forced... So let's at least have some fun and Bomoon is right, we like to express ourselves and we can't be always serious. I'm a serious person, but after I have answered a profound question with my deep digged answer, then I need to write some nonesense, what I have done now... So thank you for the space you are offering so generously.

Some are to rile up a group which I've done quite often. Some are asking legitiment questions. Some are asking stupid questions. And some are just here because they have no life.

The dumb questions to me are the ones that they should just google and the answer will be apparent. I can only assume they don't have much imagination either. . .
