First we should set the stage right - there is a difference between a gift and a present. A gift is something someone gives to you, that they can never take back. A gift is something given from the heart to someone, not because of a birthday, a holiday or some special event - that is what we give presents for.

To answer the question, yes I have thrown away a gift. I had a friend whom I treated wrong, took advantage of and completely destroyed the trust of. I threw away the best gift anyone could give to someone- their friendship.

I would never recommend that anyone do this, it eats away you and changes you forever.

STAR, I have some shirts that I didn't like, not because of the gift or person, but I didn't like it so I gave it away! I've never thrown anything away that I know of! Take care and have a Great Christmas! And New Years! Jimmy.

I try not to, because their value is greater than the value of the space it's taking, or the money you're getting in return if you sold, it

Think about it :D

EDIT***
My Ex bought me a beer opener, I don't even drink, she must have felt stupid, but she doesn't have any feelings so it's ok
