Hi, I'm from Australia and I've taken a keen interest in American sports this past year. I'm following teams from New York, and in hockey I've decided to go for the Rangers. So can someone tell me in a nutshell, who the New York Rangers are? Are they any good right now? What are their strengths and weaknesses? Who is the star player?

G'day mate! lol. The Rangers are a team with a boatload of money. They used to use that money to buy all the good players, and they sucked every year. Now this season they used that money to land two top free agents in Chris Drury and Scott Gomez. They are still greatly underachieving though. They're in 8th place in the Eastern conference, so they are barely in the playoffs as of right now.
Their star players include Jaromir Jagr, Brendan Shanahan, Chris Drury, and Scott Gomez. Each of those players aren't playing up to expectations right now. The best player on the team is the goalie; Henrik Lundqvist. He's the biggest star right now, and he's pretty much the only thing keeping them from losing every game.

They are the Toronto Maple Leafs in drag. They are to a real hockey team what a wallaby is to a kangaroo mate. Close, but not the same thing. Check out the Wings of Detroit, or Ottawa, or Vancouver.

The New York Rangers, in a nutshell
would be an extremely small version of the full scale team !!
I can't even imagine how small the puck would have to be !!
But, with all of THEM in there... they just might have to throw the puck out !!!

Oh man!!! I'm way to tired to write it all out for you. What with making toys, making lists and having to check them twice, drawing maps, finding out who was naughty and nice, then the fat guy gets all the credit. I just wanna roll up some dollar bills and go find a snowbank somewhere, if you know what I mean.

statistically they may be a good team, but I hate 'em. Hate everything New York-ish....especially their baseball team.
Jagr is a pretty big player there. (HE SUCKS)
