You are a traitor to your team and to yourself. No self respecting football supporter would ever consider such thing. Footy and football teams are about passion and dedication its not some sort of popularity contest. I dont know how old you are, but yes some young people as they become teenagers change teams because they generally support the team their parents support but later find they are more attracted to the colours, players or doctrine of some other club. However... once the decision is made it should be forever. Passion is essential to footy, supporters stick with their team through good and bad, supporting the team when they are struggling and revelling in the good times.
ALL teams have good and bad periods.. often lasting years, so my question to you is what are you going to do when Geelong hits a bad patch- change teams yet again???
As a Collingwood supporter I cant help but say that you truly embody the Carlton spirit.

Daffy, Look at the history of the Blues over the last 20 years.
It's the ego trippers on their committee that have stuffed up the club.
Carlton paid their 'Favourite Sons" big money for no return.
Look at Kouta, Selvagni, and a few other broken down crocks on contracts that ripped off the club to see it almost go under, until Pratt came along and saved the day.
This is what happens to clubs that have old committee members who take their club for a ride that is designed purely to give themselves something to do rather than play lawn bowls.
I hope that this doesn't occur at Geelong, if you are contemplating making the switch.
Better to look for a club that has a well grounded committee, if you are going to support players who all put in the hard yards with training and winning along the way.
Not all clubs reach the pinnacle, but choose wisely, knowing they did their best for their supporters and their club.
You have a few more months to decide, so check out the news etc, on training and how the recruits, senior players, and committees are coping, and then you can decide which colour beanie you favour, "for life."

No. Unless you have never officially had a team, and getting into the game. A real supporter, would stick with his club through good times and bad. A real supporter, wouldn't even
consider changing clubs.

Yes, why don't yo go further and change to the REAL football - the one they play with the round ball? That's FOOT- BALL.
Or at least come play NRL with us in New South Wales where we know how to tackle to purposely inflict injuries to the opponent. Parramatta team is good!
