To me the perfect teacher cares about her class by making whatever she is teaching more than interesting, by making it irresistable and igniting the flame of imagination and passion for learning in her students.
The perfect teacher does not use sarcasasm or disdain when working with slower students, but takes the time they need to help them reach their understanding.
And most of all the perfect teacher is someone who loves their job and the students in their care, wanting to give the best of themselves so that the students can rise from whatever background in life and fly into a bright future with not only all the knowlege they need to become successful, but with the ability to use that knowlege and to in fact become successful.
I had one like that and it was like going to Heaven when I went to that class. Games, challenges, competitions....and all arranged to make us learn while having fun!
Blessings, Pami

In simplist terms, a teacher should be one who teaches. At the core of all else, their abilty to teach outweights all other criteria.
I'll never forget watching a news program with my father as a child about 3 young men expelled from school for cheating on a test. I felt no immediate remorse or interest regarding the report, but then he stated something. As the program went on about the politics of what happened and where the system is failing or where students go wrong he said "Such a terrible thing, to expell them with no prior record. Shouldn't the focus be on teaching these kids, and not crucifying them? Isn't that why they are there to begin with? Why are they focusing so much on punishing them after focusing so little on teaching them." Or something like that.
Point is, teachers are grade providers, or dorrway guards, they are mind shapers. Their core goal is to teach. If they can do that, then kindness, connection, and inspiration of ambition and creativity all comes afterwards in importance.
Some may argue that inspiration is more important, but I argue that it should be the goal of the overall school system to inspire. An English teacher teaches english, a auto body teacher teaches auto repair, and a computer teacher teacher computer programming. Their ability to teach the individual subjects that they are assigned is their primary importance to the system. If they can only inspire, then they have failed to prepare. Like sending a willing soldier to war unarmed. I say, arm the soldiers, and let life, family, friends, and the sports and club programs provide individual inspiration.

I think a perfect teacher would be one who helps all of her or his students, not just those who make good grades but those who are struggling as well. When I was in school I had a hard time learning math, I needed a teacher to teach me to understand how to work my math problems. I was too afraid to tell him I was too stupid to get the right answers so, I would just leave the problems I couldn't solve blank. one day he told us do not forget to do your home work and for every problem you do NOT finish you will get a whack. I had six that I left blank and I received six humiliating whacks. What this Teacher did not realize is that I didn't neglected to do my homework.... I couldn't solve the problems. If he would have been the perfect teacher he would have know this and he would have helped me, instead he cause me to have even more of a struggle

I think the perfect teacher is one that really cares about her students. She doesnt bog them down with work, but gives them the right amount to make sure they know the material. Who makes the tests fair and lets everyone know what material to study. Also is available for questions and extra help, and makes the class fun and exciting.
The most important thing is if the teacher loves her job and her students.

I don´t believe the human can reach perfection, in any field.
but an efficient teacher...may be...
he will cultivate the curiosity,
he will secure the auto-esteem,
he will share his enthusiasm with his students,
he will show how to deal with doubts which always come with knowledge.

one who challenges your intellectual growth ,inspires you to greatness allows you to see not just some of your potential but all of it, someone who nurtures your creativity and inspires you to dream, someone who has the ability to turn you weaknesses into your greatest strengths, who's there when you fail encouraging you to try again even when you feel like giving up.
