Ok, I put this fetoscope on my stomach an hour ago 3 inches under my belly button (where they say my uterus is) and started to hear a faint beat. Could that have been my baby, or is it too early?

If you're using a high-quality one, then you might have heard your baby. If you're using one you buy at the maternity store, I think it doesn't really work well before 20 weeks. The baby's heartbeat will be faster than yours (I always mistook my stomach noise for heartbeat sounds prior to like 25 weeks). Have a friend listen. Have fun!

It's likely that you're hearing the heart beat. I first heard our little one's heart beat at 6 weeks (in the OB's office). They say you can hear it anywhere between 6-8 weeks. Congrats. =)

It is possible.. Your baby could of had the hickups and that could be what you heard too. A babys heart beat is fast.. so it's just according to how fast it was.
Congrats!

Your heart beat would be much slower and they would not need an fetoscope to hear it. So unless there was a mouse in your pants, ---- HI MOMMY!
