i didnt say that anyone was specifically dissing anyone beliefs. i said that i think its wrong when people do diss people when asking a simple question. the whole point of saying that is everyone is entitled to their beliefs.

It' not hard believe that there's weird stuff going on out there. But I feel that people that experience paranormal things have in some way induced their presence. A lot of the time they obviously invite these spirits into their presence. But as far as I'm concerned I want nothing to do with these spirits,so I seek to keep the lights on so the bugs will flee from me.

No, I do not believe in the paranormal. I answered the question because it came up on the bottom of the page as an open question after I answered a question about politics. I have my opinions about it but if you are only interested in supporting your preconceived notions instead of a quest for the truth, YA answers is probably not the correct forum for you. You should be on some exclusively paranormal chat page.

Here, all questions are open to everyone. Great for seekers of truth, not so great for support group thinking.

Merry Christmas!

No, there is no such thing as the paranormal.

People seem to like to believe that there is and manage to convince themselves that what they are witnessing is some unearthly phenomenon when there is a reasonable, rational,
explanation for what they see.

Why to people prefer to think that they are being stalked by a demon when their lights flicker rather than thinking they have a faulty electrical connection is beyond me.

It's not so much about dissing peoples beliefs, as pointing out that they are a fallacy.

No I do not believe in the paranormal.

Why am I here? I can assure you it's not to upset people. I am here, just as others are, to provide my perspective on the subject. I am here because this is a public forum that requires no prerequisite beliefs one way or the other. I am here because it is my right to be here.

If your beliefs are too fragile to withstand scrutiny then perhaps you should endeavor to understand (and defend) your beliefs more effectively, get thicker skin or remove yourself from any sort of public forum. Contrary to popular opinion no one has a right to not be offended, so if you are unable to read answers contrary to your personal beliefs then perhaps you should spend your time elsewhere.

I don't believe it because I haven't seen it. The is a possibility, i'll admit that.

As for why I am answering your question when I don't believe in it, it is because after I responded to someone elses question YOUR question appeared in a little box below that yahoo claimed as other questions to answer.

And it's not all about "dissing" others beliefs, it's about debate. If you cannot prove anything, then how are you to claim truth. Truth is proof. And debating is not wrong. We all have different opinions, and most of us like to state them clearly even when they disagree with others!

So quit pouting.

Sure do. I have seen it in action. However, my opinion of it has changed drastically in the last few years. I know now there is no such thing as demons and all of that. Which makes the paranormal really a lot more fun and interesting to me now.

Oh no.. I do.

(I'm a scorpio... its a trait of ours!)

actually over the summer 2x in one night (wish I had a camera or video recorder to try & get something or even an audio) but I heard a voice comiming from my parents room. (all were asleep, all tv & lights off etc. The voice sounded like it was coming from the bottom of the bed on mom's side near the dresser.

Then later on. I heard the voice coing from the kitechen around the doorway of the kitchen to go into the enclosed porch. I caught one word but not enough to fully make out what it was. I thikn they were talking to me.

I told om & Dad this.. & om told me it was my aunt's Elenor (that died a few years ago) birthday

Not until I see hard evidence and the scientific community as a whole agrees upon it based on this evidence.

(I'm here just because I wanted to try something random.)
