well..kind of. i live alone and it can be difficult sometimes not having a family of my own. however, i'm always with my family of origin in some way on christmas.

In a way yes, several years ago. Even tho I had my girls here, I was still very sad and lonely.
Home life wasn't really good at that time, by the time Christmas rolled around, i didn't want to wake up in the mornings because I was worried about everything I did and if I would get yelled at or get the silent treatment.

Many. Including this one. I get over it though. It is a day of conflicting emotions for me. My dad died the day after Christmas. Not much happiness to be found remembering that. My kids spend Christmas Eve with their dad's family, so yes, I am usually alone.
The great thing is that I still can feel the miracle and the wonder of the birth of Christ. This is what Christmas is really all about. "for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, so that our sins would be forgiven."
"For unto you was born this day, in the City of David, a Saviour, who is Christ, the Lord."

well, my turtle died 3 days before Christmas and i found out a week ago that my cat has cancer, so it's not too happy for me this year. But i still have my family and my boyfriend, so i have to try to be thankful for that much because someday i may not have them around for christmas

I am always with my family, my nieces and nephews keep me from being sad, being lonely is a part of my everyday life!!

With each passing year it gets worse and worse. With my relatives eventually passing and me being alone, I fear that's the way I'm going to go. Alone. Christmas time is the absolute worst.
