Canon Printer?

My printer does not read the ink color properly. When I inserted the BJ black ink Cartridge, when I started printing will read its a photo/colored ink, instead of black ink. What are the solutions? does it need to reinstall the driver? its a hardware problem? pls help

Just go into the printer section from Control Panel. Go to your printer, then right click and select properties. Click the general tab then click the printing preferences button. Click the paper/quality tab, then you call tell it just to print in black & white... that should solve your problem.
