There's a chance. Astronomers are tracking an asteroid approx 160 m in size that has a little more than 1% chance of hitting Mars in about a month. As we study the object's orbit, we will be in a better position to estimate the likelihood of impact...so stay tuned.

Actually we don´t know. There is a 1 in 75 chance for Mars to be hit by the 50m asteroid on January 30th, at 10h 55m universal Time. If that occurs, there will be an important example to this kind of disaster to the Earth. WE could be the next in line, so we must learn how this occurs and how to avoid it.

There is a 1 in 75 chance of Mars being hit. If it is, astronomers calculated the impact will be around 15 megatons. Way to small to affect us, or do anything catastrophic to Mars.

There's a 1 in 75 chance for the impact. Most astronomers are hoping that it *does* happen so they can get a good look at it. No danger to Earth, or even Mars itself - just a nice big, fresh crater to study.

There is about a one in 75 chance that Mars will be hit on the 30th of January. Until more observations are made, we cannot be certain of how likely this is.

The most recent orbital calculations indicate that the asteroid will miss Mars.
