They (liberal far-leftist) are giving it a heck of a try, and in some areas, they have been successful. This is normal, as history has shown, all is balanced in the end. The majority is still conservative by a small margin, but as the leftist get more and more frantic, the people see it for what it is.
Example: Fox News, one right of center news outlet beats, yes beats all other cable news and many networks combined... YES COMBINED. Yet the New York Times, and many other leftist outlets continue to lose viewers. Air America, the live leftist hate machine.... It failed miserably.
CNN (Clinton News Network) , NBC, MSNBC, ABC, PBS...are all losing viewers daily. So the people know crap when they see / read it. FOX DOMINATES and LIBERAL MEDIA continues to fail. I know the libs are going to give me thumbs down, that is to be expected. I just say, truly do think for yourself. Information, (real information) can be gotten through the freedom of information act. It is there you will find the no spin truth.

Maybe we can support Dr. Paul without attacking people. Many people from the "left" are hearing Dr. Paul's message. Perhaps insulting them isn't very wise. It is okay to point out the many many short comings of the other candidates, but try to remember that Dr. Paul's message is an inclusive one.
Scourge- Hillary will only drive this nation further into debt. Universal Health care is a nice idea, but it just isn't realistic. We can't even pay for social security. The current federal reserve system is printing money out of thin air to pay for our over sized government. This, in turn, is driving inflation up and weakening the dollar. Dr Paul is the only candidate addressing this problem. Many people who support Dr. Paul just want what is best for America.
Alex- Dr. Paul has never endorsed a fair tax plan. You are mistaken. He is for eliminating the income tax and reducing federal spending... that is it. Please help us elect Ron Paul.

There are more choices than Ron Paul and Hillary Clinton- so are you implying that I'm a leftist because I'm a Republican that doesn't support Ron Paul? Ron Paul is farther left than I will ever be. (He's an isolationist that wants to legalize every drug out there- I support the war and think that the world would be a safer place without a bunch of pot-smoking loons on the roadways of America)

How can one fix it without dominating and controlling it? At this point, it would take a dictatorship to make the needed changes (sometimes I think the Turks are the real smart ones with their military assuring democracy with temporary totalitarianism). Ron would simply be powerless to make any changes he wants if he were President as the Republicans and Democrats would unite against him in Congressional votes. As a realist, I'm leaning towards Romney, myself but would vote for Paul if he were facing Comrade Hillary.

You say leftist like it's a bad thing. It's not and Hillary is not a lefty. She's a con (as in neocon and con artist). Ron Paul has some good ideas on the Fed and the IRS, though.

Ron Paul has been riding the anti-Iraq and government reform wave to huge popularity among young voters. However, I don't like many of his positions. One that bothers me quite a bit and which I don't think people quite understand is the "Fair Tax" plan. This would eliminate all Federal Income and Corporate Taxes. Those taxes would be replaced with a Federal Sales tax. The problem is that top economist's are saying that it will take upwards of a 75-90% sales tax to make up for the lost tax revenue. Not to mention that it would hurt many people, especially the poor, elderly, and college students. Those who don't make much income if any now and thus don't pay much in Income Tax would be required to pay exuberant sales taxes just like those who make $100,000 or more a year and pay much more in income taxes. I don't think many college students realize that while many of them work very little or at all while in school they would be paying almost twice as much for everything they buy while they are making no or little money. For those who don't have much money this could make it much more difficult to go to college and eventually get out of poverty. I agree that the Federal Tax system needs to be overhauled, but this plan would make things much worst than they are now.

Oh, Ron Paul would fix America but good!
Hillary doe not want to "dominate and control" it, but merely use the instrumentalities that are already there to make things better. I can't wait!
