On the other hand, leaving a place that isn't working for you may do you a world of good.

I moved from Florida (where I was miserable) to Kentucky (where life is just a little bit nicer and more acceptable to me).

If you're having trouble in one place, there's no point in suffering unduly by staying there. Pack it up and try someplace else. It can't hurt.

If the place you choose to start over doesn't work, perhaps you should choose another place. Just keep reworking your life until you're happy with it. It's your life. You should try to enjoy it, even if you need to move to do so.

Before you consider a move to Florida, do your research. Start by taking a vacation & visit the area(s) that you want to move to. Rent a house for a week & live like a local. Some real estate agents have weekly rentals. Moving is extremely expensive & as others have wrote won't solve your problems. You still need an income & housing, among other things You may come to love Florida or realize that you are making a huge mistake if you relocate.

My Dad keeps threatening to move to FL & Mom keeps reminding him how FL actually is. I was born in FL. My bio dad went back there when I was 6yrs old after spending 5yrs in OH where he grew up.

Depends on what you are running from. There are some problems that distance won't fix - and moving to a new state where you don't know anyone can be very isolating and lonely.

But I did much the same thing in my 20's - moved across the US to get away from a really bad family situation. I moved to a state where I had some family - although I settled in a town that was still about 2 hours away from where they lived. It was the best thing I ever did - staying in my hometown would have just made me miserable and just as screwed up as the person I moved away from.

If you have to get out of a bad situation - try to go someplace where you will have at least some support or friends.

Good luck

I'm moving to Tucson, AZ next month and I think it's always good for a change. It's not gonna hurt anything and you have to do what you have to do. Start a new life and who cares what people say you might really like it. Good luck

You should never run from your problems, they will come to haunt you eventually, besides, Florida is overrated.
