Whenever I buy a new shirt, I don't wash before use and just jump straight into it. Is this bad? I know the tag tells you to wash separately first because it can have dyes that come off. But I don't even bother, just too lazy. Will not washing it cause body acne?

Think of this. Little Tonya isn't the most hygenic. She ran out of deoderant last week and her water isn't working and has been broken since 4 days ago. She decides to get away from the craziness and see's this sweet shirt. She slides it on over the dirt caked on her neck, the sweat developing down her sides and the hair, EW. This isn't the worse. Some people are plain nasty and try on clothes. I always have a undershirt and wash my new clothes. Some places don't supervise whom they let change clothes. At walmart a kid who had knee's covered with mud was going in the dressing room with pants and a shirt and the lady just smiled.

Some dye, especially bright colors can cause a severe allergic reaction. You are taking a chance, but if you do get a reaction at sometime, you will always wash first. Good question.
