It was broadcast from WOR in New York. Right now TBS is running a 24-hour marathon of A Christmas Story, narrated by him. I'm taping it and what little I've seen of it so far is hilarious.

I do - he wasn't my taste. He performed at my college freshman year, and I went to his concert. I kept waiting for the point to his one, long, rambling story. That was when I learned a new word: "monologist." I remember Rambling with Gambling, but Shepherd you can keep.

Never heard of the radio show and can't stand the movie
Stupid movie - don't know why they think they have to run it over and over and over for 24 hours - probably why I hate it so much. If they just showed it once a year, I might not mind it so much, but it's my husbands favorite Christmas movie, so I have to either sit there and watch it or sit here at the computer.

It is a cute little movie and we watch it every year. But just once and that is enough. Mostly I just see bits and pieces as I run around doing all that needs be done.
