I find the PC more of an open system. If you don't like Windows, there are alternatives, such as Linux. On a Mac, its Apple OS or nothing. Plus with PC's they generally upgrade better, you have build your own options.

As far as capabilities, both platforms do pretty much the same thing. You'll hear a lot of noise about how much better one or the other is, but in the end you'll be happy no matter which you pick. The biggest issue is what are more comfortable with and who can you turn to for help more.

I would choose a PC because if you want to play the latest games because most games on the market are designed only for windows So to save you the trouble pick a PC.

Definitely a Mac. You can do more on a Mac than on a PC because Macs also run Windows now. I finally gave in and got a Mac when they started running Windows... and then after a few months I found that I enjoyed the Mac part so much that I never used Windows for anything. Everything on a Mac is so much simpler; there are never error messages I don't understand, and it never crashes... also, I don't even run anti-virus software because there really is no need.

Plus, Macs are cute.

choose a pc... mac are expensive for what they are,,, plus you're tied to Apple mac for everything.. accessories, software, and services... the ownership of a mac is expensive in the long run...

Depends on use, if I was doing tons of photo editing, music and video editing I would go for mac, that's about all mac is good for. PC has the flexibility to do both "business" type things as well as stuff for photo editing and such but not quite as simple as editing on a mac.

I would choose a PC, yh there a little buggy from time to time... but you just cant do anything on a mac. The reason macs don have bugs in there software is because they dont have any software!

That would have to depend on what you're going to use your computer for.

If you're looking for a system for video editing or music, you should get a Mac.

If you're looking for an all-in-one, get a PC.
