NO
How greedy are you? Dont you think that the players have personal lives away from football and that they would like to spend the off season- particularly xmas- with their friends and family instead of running around a footbalkl ground on a stinking hot day.

What about their health and welfare..... they need the off season to let their bodies rest and recover, to play xmas day they would have to stay in training and then risk doing themselves harm running around in the summer heat.

Personally I want my teams players healthy and rested come next year not worn out or injured because a few people cant find better things to do with their time. Yes when I was a teenager and stuck with the routine you describe it was boring but nothing stopping you going for a walk around the neighbourhood or something for a bitr of a break. Alternatively you could go and volunteer to serve xmas dinner at a local charity or something similar, the people there are not drunk and always very appreciative of the people who are helping them.

I dont think th players would wan to spend it playing. Thats when they spend time with families n stuff. Although Id lov for there to be a game on. But not everyone will like it coz it depends what teams are playing. Not Carlton v collingwood.

No, footy encroaches on the cricket season way to much, I enjoy my cricket as well so I'll be watching the Boxing day test.
