i wonder why they hate the Pats. Because they were too good. No body can beat them so far. So they're just jealous. Then they hated them

It IS mostly jealousy and insecurity. There are lots of other excuses, but that's what it boils down to.
I've gotten to the point where I am beginning to enjoy it. What else can you do? The only thing that's annoying is the people who twist the facts, or don't know anything at all, but still feel the need to vent.

Humans like to see David win and Goliath lose. Right now, the Pats are as big a Goliath as football has ever seen!! People like to see the best fail!! People like change....nobody likes dynasties besides the people involved in them (like the teams home fans).
Let's take a look at the most hated teams in sports....
The New York Yankees....undeniably the best team in baseball......they have won like a bazillion world series....and if you are not a yankee fan...you hate the Yankees!!
A better example.....I know a lot of people who were big Red Sox fans when their curse was going on. They were the underdogs, and when they won, everyone rejoiced! But now that they have become the favorites, people (who don't have ties to Boston) are losing interest.
Notre Dame...they were the most dominant team in College football for the longest time....and now everybody hates them, and everyone is basking in their misery from this season!
All of the Dynasty teams (even if they have a huge fan base) tend to be the most hated teams. The Steelers, Packers, Cowboys, and 49ers, and now the Pats, are the most hated teams in football. Why? Because they were once dynasties!
Why do you think everyone enjoyed this years college football season? It was crazy!! The #1 and #2 teams lost nearly every week!
To make a long point short......people love seeing the #1 team lose! Period. the end.....even if Spygate hadn't happened, people would still hate the pats!

Because in 2001 when they won the Super Bowl,
I thought and maybe others also, that it was staged?? Yeah, with 9/11 and all that..how fitting for the PATRIOTS to win the Superbowl.
I'm a former Pat's hater... but real football fan;
sooner or later one must realize the Pat's are great! Spy cam or not the Pats must be considered a dynasty and can be mentioned with
Lombardi's Packers, the 49'ers, Cowboys and Steelers.
If they win this years Superbowl, and I believe they will, more haters will become believers, Pats are one of the great teams of all time.

People hate The Patriots because they cheated in the past but most people do not know the entire story of the cheating so just assume it helped them this year. The truth is they are just a good team who did not even get to use the films they took of The Jets. They have a quarterback who has won Super Bowls and has been there before not to mention he is still young. They have a running back who can come through if need be and not to mention Stallworth and Moss to give Brady big targets. This kind of hate just seems to appear when a team is undefeated just as a lot of people probably hated the 72 Dolphins.

Who really cares? Fans of other teams are not going to magically fall in love with the Patriots as they win every game they play. Enjoy the success of your team while it lasts and don't worry what other fans think.
Just curious. Did you love the Bears when they kicked the crap out of the Pats in the 80's? Did you love the Cowboys while they ruled a portion of the 90's? I am a Pat's fan but I don't expect fans of other teams to do anything other than hate the Pat's while they are playing well. This type of love/hate behavior is what makes football so fun to follow.
Don't take it personally. Just enjoy the game.

Speaking just for myself, I frankly dislike all Boston area teams, as well as New York teams. For me, the perfect sports year would be the Mets, Red Sox, & Yankees each losing at least 90 games (100 would be even better), the Pats, Giants, & Jets all going 4-12 or worse, The Celtics & Knicks vying for lottery positions (wait, the Knicks are already there! lol), and the Islanders & Rangers both losing with regularity. On the other end of the spectrum, The Colts, Reds, Hurricanes, & Pacers would be the champions in their respective sports. That would be a perfect sports year.

People hate them for different reasons. I have no idea why Pat fans, defending their team, come up with that reason. Look up the term jealous. People hate the Patriots because they defeated their team, and they've been looking forward for another team to defeat them back, to ease their pain. But it hasn't happen yet, and that pain grows into anger to hatred. Then there's other reasons like cheating, running up score, their a classless team and possibly others.

I'm a Patriot fan, but no one likes to see a team this good. That's why there are so many haters out there. I really hope we can go undefeated and win the Super Bowl, but I REALLY hope that no one gets hurt in the process. I think the coaches are making some bad decisions by leaving in all the starters.

I love it. The more these haters threw tantrums, the more the Patriots get better.
It's like the hate that they spew becomes the engine that drives the Patriots juggernaut to annihilate one team after another.

simple...the patriots are a bunch of think that running up the score against much weaker opponents is fun... they luck out because a time out is awarded to a defensive coordinator in the baltimore game... they cheat, see spy gate,...the coach is an a.s.s hole, the qb has a bastard son...randy moss destroyed the raiders and the vikings(see the way t.o. destroyed the niners and eagles)but now he is the best ever ha....the 93 cowboys would whop them...the 85 bears would eat tom brady alive...and thats not saying anything about how many points joe montana and co.would hang on that weak defense(lets see welker catch one pass across the middle on lott, they would have to scrape his carcass off the field)...
