I really want a mac because they have cameras already made in the laptop, but I just wanted some other opinions so I know what to buy.
Thanks

Get a macbook or macbook pro. They are kinda expensive but they are worth the money. Leopard the new OS is amazing. And mac computers just run so smoothly and quickly. Plus they don't get viruses. Can't say the same about vista or any pc i've ever owned. I'm a new mac convert and will never touch a pc again.

some pc's have cameras built in like sony's and HP's and they're good laptops. i agree macs are probably the best but when it comes to macs you'll find that they don't make as many programs as they do for a pc. and you'll never know what your going to need in college. you may not be able to install essential programs on your mac

There is nothing wrong with a PC. But if what you want is a MAC then get a MAC. In your mind you will never be happy with a PC.

Dependin on the college you go to they will give you a list of requirements that you will need on your computer. but from expierence mac are a whole lot better than Toshiba. I would definetly get a mac, but all of them don;t have cameras.

What do you plan on doing with the laptop? If all you need is word processing then you don't need much for a machine and you can invest in a battery with more life. If you plan on high demand gaming or movies then you usually get what you pay for (and I recomend a dell.) I would not buy one of those for reasons, mainly cost.

Better make a list of what you need, then get a price.
Then, make a list of goodies, bells and whistles. Go with your budget.
