I had to do a whole bunch of complex things after i contacted the customer service 1. Press the Reset button at the back of your router for 30 seconds, then unplug and replug the power adapter.
2. Connect the computer to port 1 of the router then restart it. (This PC should be the one that can get online if directly connected to the modem). Connect your modem to the Internet port of the router.
3. Go to your desktop and double click on Internet Explorer.
4. When "Internet Explorer" opens, type http://192.168.1.1 on the "Address" bar and click on Go.
5. The log-in window will appear, skip user name and type admin (admin is the default password) as the password, and click Ok.
6. Click on the MAC Address Clone sub tab and click on "Clone your PC's MAC" then save the settings.

7. Click the Wireless tab, then set the following:
a. Set the Wireless Mode to “Mixed".
b. Change the Linksys SSID/Network Name to your own personalized name.
c. Change the channel to 11.
d. The SSID Broadcast should be enabled.
e. Save the settings.
8. Go back to Basic Setup page, then change the Local IP address of your router from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.2.1 then save the settings.
9. Shut down everything for 2 minutes. Power on (starting from the modem then the router and lastly your computer).
10. Check if you can go online on the computer that is wired to the router. Connect your wireless computer to your new network name.
