I will take ours down in a day or two--could be Christmas night!
I don't like to leave it up long after Christmas, we have a real tree and by the time Christmas gets here, it is getting pretty dried out--even with watering,ect.
We have a wood stove and the tree sits by the part of the room the stove is in so it drys out and I don't want to take a chance of it catching fire.

I won't have to take mine down this year, this is the first time in 40 years that I did not put one up, we have 10 new kittens running about the house and three young shitzues running around and we felt that we should not put up our tree, but we did hang some streamers up, but it still don't feel like Christmas without the tree
