I forgot my windows vista administrators password!!!?

Question

So, I forgot my password because I just changed it. I don't want to reinstall the OS, but I also have an extra XP OS. I've heard there's a way to get your admin account back by using 2 OS's. How do u do that? I can get onto standard user accounts but not my administrator one. I really don't want to reinstall the OS, so can u help me?

If you forget your password, your s**t outta luck. Only way to get around it is to reinstall. Where is the problem in reinstalling anyway? It does not affect anything except to get back to where you were.

Try it instead of wasting so much time.

Your restore utility in windows won't help either.

i'm not sure this works on vista but try this. first go to run. then type in cmd. it will open the controll prompt. tye net user and hit anter. then type net user "username"> it hopefully will let you change you password with out even typing in your old password
