Im asking you ppl becasue i know im not getting what i want, so im gonna have to buy it myself... tell me what you think. Should i buy an xbox 360 or a laptop? If it helps your decision making, im going to be going to college next fall; and make decisions as if money was no object. (Also, suggestions for games or types of computers =P)

Get the Laptop for sure. Don't even bother with those faulty Xbox 360's. Right now I'm in college and a laptop is a must have for college students. I don't know what college you are going to but if they have a Wireless Network like my college does you can go online wirelessly anywhere on campus, so you will be able to work on school work/projects anywhere you are on campus with the Laptop
The Laptop will last WAY longer than the Xbox 360 and you can do more with the laptop. If I were to get a new laptop right now I would get one of the new Sony Viao laptops.

A laptop. I heard Toshiba is the best (that's what my brother-in-law has). You can use it for your schoolwork, E-mail, etc. Plus, you could get a lot of cool games to play on that too.

laptop, you can play games on the laptop, you cant do your essay papers on a360. i have a dell inspiron 1501, its great.
