You are not too young to date! You should stand for yourself. Tell your parents "I'm a 25 man year old man! I have rights!" At least beg them to let you date and date someone you want to go out with not a girl or guy you want to date! Be strong and have faith. Don't give up! Your parents might be surprised at first but will eventually come around!

no but outta respect (I am country) you should ask her parents for her hand in marriage, sounds cliche but I think it is a really amazing tradition that needs to get started again. If they say no then give them a little time and ask again. If they then say no, talk to your girl about it. As far as your parents, I would let them know you are getting married but being 25 your parents are no longer over you. It is between you and the girl. You have been an adult for seven years. You do not need their permission for anything. If you want to date and get married you need to do it. Have you asked them when they started to date? I would.

My concern is, if you are 25, why are you asking this question? Because you are asking this question, it makes me believe you have not grown up, have not made adult decisions for yourself and now you lack the tools to be able to use your best judgement. Take care of yourself first before you make a comittment. Learn to make your own decisions and don't be afraid to fail.

your parents need to let go and allow you to live YOUR LIFE. now 25 maybe to young to get married but thats your choice to make not theirs. so tell them with respect that you appreciate there love, support but they need to trust themselves that they raised a man to be a man and you will be fine. you cant want them to treat with respect and grown if you are not acting like a respectful GROWN young man. Nope. You would be ill-advised to get married so young, but once you are past 18 you can get married, look at porn, get a tattoo and do any other dumb thing you want to.
