Like.............your a Libra so your like this or your Leo so your like that. That gets on my nerves. A lot of people on this Q&A section act like this. People ask questions like im a pisces tell me about myself and im like how the hell am I supposed to tell you about yourself when ive never even met you? This isnt real astrology folks!
Its kinda sick like the caste system in India.Your forever judged by the place your born into. Your expected to act a certain way.

I have slightly different opinion because the zodiac sign can just tell you general characteristics of your character and there could be so many differences between one and another person of the same sign of course, here is just generalizing, like overall analysis of characteristic describing one's character according to particular planets' influence. For example I am a Taurus and most of the traits I read on the astrology sites, I do possess like being stubborn, inflexible, easily hurt but I put the people and their needs on the first place, for the people I love I am ready to fight and to give everything! But that's just so general that another Taurus person for example might be as stubborn as I am, as helpful as I am but also in the same time they might react in so different way from me in particular situation and the only one thing in common we have is our general astrological patterns and nothing more. So I believe generalizing like that is for fun, it makes people share ideas and talk to each other and between the lines you can see some wise insight in this section. Of course you can never know about a person you never met, here you are right you can not say definitely and for sure but you can give characteristics of the person zodiac sign as in the astrological sites and just post your opinion. I find this sections fun actually but sometimes I am hurt and disappointed from some answers that are rude and directed in aggressive way though I am trying not to pay attention.

I'm really good at picking a persons sign before they tell me. I observe and get a sense of which it is. I can pick a Leo type very easily. Some people are more true to their sun sign than others, one is also influenced by where the other planets are in the birthchart. Everyone displays the characteristics of their sign in some way and so yes the star sign is an indicator of what kind of personality you have. There is no caste system in star signs, none is better than the others. I'm not always correct in my pick, but often I am. Don't get stressed about it. Signs are useful in teaching a person to read other people, they're not called SIGNS for nothing.

Nature is predictable, and fortunately that includes human nature. While I am not a black priest of atrology, my pleasure is in trying to find a sense to it and connect the dots. I just like a big challenge sometimes and the fame attached to succeeding against the odds. Thus far I agree with chain lightning, about the month of a birth not giving accurate infos.

Yeah. It's ridiculous.
I like to read my horoscope and find out stuff about leos (since that's what I am) and a lot of the things are true.
But thinking that your horoscope is the manual to your life and everyone else's is ridiculous.
Being born a certain day doesn't make you exactly like the 3020523905 other people born then.
It's about how you were raised, not what day of what month you were born. :P

I totally agree with you.
Those people cannot know who you are just by your zodiac sign.
All they are doing is making assumptions.
Your ascendants are even more important than your sign.
Even if I would know your ascendants and the exact time of your birth, still all I could do is guide you but never judge you, because ultimately, you are the master of your own fate.

It depends if you choose to accept the labeling, stereotyping and pigeon-holing that astrology excels in. There is no evidence that birth-date determines personality. Do people born in late June to early July mind being call two-faced? Because you are a Gemini you are most likely to be a liar so you can't be trusted?
Don't let a ancient, made-up, bigoted, and unproven concept be used against you. Believe in free thinking. Believe that you can take control of your own life.

yeah i totally judge people by their signs
i admit its not a good idea to always do that because i've ruined some relationships by assuming they would be a certain way and finding out i was totally wrong

no because they tell you astrologically because this is the horoscope section. If you don't want to be described astrologically you shouldn't be in this section of yahoo answers!
