For me, there are a few that stand out. One was our puppy Wilbur, who we rescued from the dog pound on Christmas Eve as a companion for our other dog, Harvey.
The others are things people made me, like a new hat my neice knitted me, a tea box my brother made, ornaments painted by kids, the woodcarvings my Dad did, and a doll blanket my Mom sewed me.
My best all time bought gift was a wheelbarrow....My husband and I had been looking for a farmhouse for several years, and I said that when we had a barn and big garden, I wanted a wheelbarrrow. We still hadn't found the house, but he remembered that, and it meant the world to me, because it was part of a dream of a different life. We live that life now.

The best thing I got for Christmas was an Easy Bake oven from my cousin when I was 27 years old. We were out X mas shopping and I was teasing her about having gotten the best toys when we were growing up including that Easy Bake oven. It was a great gag gift. I haven't complained since. I gave it to her daughter last year.

back interior the 1970's as a new child, my mom and father / Santa offered me a battery operated turntable for taking part in vinyl documents on... 40 5's and ermmm... 33's from reminiscence i'm guessing around approximately 1976 whilst disco grow to be impressive, although if it could have been some years the two facet. Bee Gee's, Bay city Rollers (oops no longer disco), 3 levels, Blondie, and Orville (in simple terms kidding). some 30 years on, i offered my Dad a distant administration mini cooper. He enjoyed it. no remember if or no longer he makes use of it quite is irrelevant. The smile and elegance on his face made all of it useful.
