The most that I have ever treaded water before without a break is 8:30 (alternating arms out of the water and only hands out of the water), but I imagine that I could probably do it a little longer if I needed/wanted to.

Trend?

I had to tread water for 5 Min's to become a certified scuba diver, arms completely out of the water

you mean tread? er...for about 2:30min without moving my arms, I mean like with them in the air. and 10min with my arms.

if you mean anything else I have no idea what trend water is. sorry, lol.

well, interesting question, anyway, I've never heard people asking how much others can do things. or maybe yeah? anyway, i'm not too good with treading water.

This will depend how confident you are in the water, how good a swimmer you are, your buoyancy, water temperature water salinity fitness and probably many other factors.
I could tread water indefinitely if my life depended on it but the water temperature and tiredness would be my final downfall

for about one hour w/ just my hands out of the water. (no i am not lying, i have been swimming for eight years.)
P.S. it's actually treading water not trending.
