SENIOR REJECTS? I used to get the comments in my yahoo email all the time. Now nothing. Was I kicked off because I didn't say much? Or was the group disbanded? I don't see some of the folks who were contributors to that group on Y/A either.

There is a new site going at the moment and in the New Year a Forum type, more like this is going to be set up. One where we will be able to use our Avatars and be able to make a sort of profile page and Photo Gallery. Some of us like the Message Board style and some like me prefer the Forum style. This site will take a wee while to set up as there is a hell of a lot of work involved.
Merry Christmas.

Initially the Rejects group was very good and we were very grateful to Min for starting the group. Her intentions as the owner were honourable. Slowly over time some members, a minority, made it less enjoyable although we stayed members and contributed to it right up to the last day. Despite the problems we were very saddened when we first heard it was being disbanded. As for the charity, we received an email yesterday saying financial contributions had been returned to the donators. We have no reason to think this was a scam. There are good people in this world but whenever anyone tries to do something good for others and it involves money there is a cry of "Scam". - if this was the case we can't see how because the people involved in that were always above board with the whole process. We all knew who was involved and one of the persons involved never tried to hide anything....details of where this person could be contacted (email address, personal address and telephone number) were available for all to see.
We never left YA to go to the group, it was just nice to have somewhere else to go as a change from Q&A's and to get to know some of the senior contributors on here better.
We hope that the people who have since left YA because of accusations of impropriety, return as we have always regarded them as valuable contributors of this site. xx

We were informed the site was closing since there were some people fighting, but while I was there it was a good opportunity for me to get to know folks better and I'm grateful. Also, I still continue to participate in Y/A, along with group sites, it's not an either/or situation for me.

I am dismayed at some of the answers and accusations here. It saddens me to hear people say bad things about those in the group. We were there to 'support' others in many ways that had nothing to do with finances (anything like that was always made plain that it would have to be done elsewhere)-people were there to listen, pray and talk to one other. Many of us continue to be friends.

There is no good time for ill feelings or unkind words, but it's Christmas and even then it seems differences rule the day, instead of the 'kindness and love' that should be shown. What a shame!

The charity part was NOT a scam. People have kind hearts and wanted to help but they themselves had financial difficulties . The holidays are expensive for many people on fixed incomes We also could not advertise or solicit for money, which is a challenge to continue to sustain this effort. We found that many, many people have financial difficulties and we were limited in what we can do. Most need long term help, we could only offer a band aid. Only the administrators money was used all other funds were returned . I will continue to help seniors to find resources in their area to help with housing, food, medicine, clothing, help with heating bills. etc. They need only to email me and I will be more than happy and willing to help.
Scam? heck NO, the administrator was a kind, generous, benevolent man with a heart of gold. I have never seen evidence that anyone was scammed BTW

I didn't know that outlaws had been disbanded for a few days, only because I hadn't received mail did I know. The only thing I can say is Yahoo's way of setting up the forum makes you read the same thing over and over again to get to new input.

The site was disbanded but 2 others sprang up with a third coming along the first part of next year. Something for everyone.

Very interesting... Eve, I did the same... found I was blocked so I did a little blocking of my own... haven't been invited to any other groups... the one I did look at didn't look to appealing at all. It took me forever to get off the list... I don't want to have to go anywhere else, but, it would be nice if we could set up a chat room wouldn't it?

Thanks for the question!
Big star for You!

I received an email saying it was being closed up for good. Some of the folk are still on here and some went to a new group.Read the last 2 posts and you will see why the group had to close. She is evil and she is both of these last two people and several others.

I don't know. I joined when they first started up, but quit after a couple of weeks. It wasn't for me. Maybe others did too. You should visit the group itself.

Pretty strange that none of the recipients of the so called 'scam' cash have come forward to say a nay to the scam part. Only 3 people sent cash to the fund and the rest of the cash came straight from the administrators pocket to seniors in need of a helping hand. The 3 people that bothered to send a small amount of cash to the fund found it returned to them. Merry Christmas to the nay sayers of the land, they need something Merry to think about.
