My pissing about on the computer - not so much. When added to the vast internet user community it's significant. Here's something else to think about: what happens to all the information that's been added to the web and is no longer of value? It's all still just dangling out there.

Power consumption of Computing system is a hot topic in academic side. New processors and new software design tactic can also reduce the power consumption.
You can do some good.
1. power off your computer if you don't use it.
2. Use iPod instead of computer for music.
3. Don't go to internet so often and use computer only as you need it.
These can reduce the power consumption and also reduce the chance of being attacked by hackers, virus, trojan, worms and spyware
Thanks and Merry Christmas

Are you using a hybrid comp? If no then SHAME ON YOU! Your using up all the oil. And if your comp causes an oil spill on the net do you have any idea how many native webpages will be harmed or even killed?? YEA I DIDNT THINK SO! I dont feel like cleaning more web pages off any more. So get a wind power comp and move to the plain states!
