Can Alltel cell phones send text messages while roaming??

I have Alltel carrier..and when i try to send a txt while roaming it will not send..??

does my phone have to not be roaming to send a txt????!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!

Check your carriers plan, it may not offer "data" services while roaming. Especially if it is a ANALOG altel system.

I cannot with mine ,so I would have to say no.
