is it possible for a eee pc to have windows xp operating system? i'm thinking about purchasing a eee pc. but instead of linux, i want windows xp. if it is possible, how can i get it to be windows xp and not linux?

Yes, it's possible. The Eee supports Linux and windows XP; you'd need an external USB optical drive (of your own) to boot from in order to load XP.

Linux out shines windows. vista or xp you can do more with linux plus it is free. along with all the software you will ever need. also free..... so why buy windows xp and pay for all the other software that you will need to go with windows...
