You may have irritated that general area from a dull razor when shaving or you may have a yeast infection.
I recommend applying some Vagisil anti-itch cream (you can purchase it at your local grocery mart) and if see if the itching continues.
If you find that your private is rather red and you have some odd discharge I would recommend also picking up a home monistat kit and treat yourself for a yeast infection.

She may have a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. She should she her Gyno to find out which type of infection she may have, and then she would be given medications that would clear up the infection.

If seeing a Gyno isnt an option try over the counter treatments
suchs as anti-itch creams for the vagina or yeast infection treat ments

It could be a number of things. If there is a smell or abnormal discharge it could be a yeast infection. If it is just itching it should be checked by a doctor to find out what it is since there is no other way to determine what it is exactly. If she suspects it is a yeast infection, they have test kits where it will tell you if it is or not. These are easily treatable.

It could be a yeast infection, very common, and can be treated with over the counter medication. Eating Yogurt regularly can help as well. If symptoms do not improve, see your DR.

Good Luck

If she shaved....it could be the hair growing back. If that's not it.....could be a symtom of a vaginitis. Depends if it's accompanied by a discharge. She needs to check with her family doctor or gynecologist to be diagnosed.
