...well it's just that MANY ppl are catholic christan etc so it's a day off sorta thing...but it gets annoying cuz i don't celebrate it nor can i go anywhere :(

in many country, Christmas is a public holiday. Catholic or not, everyone wants a public holiday so they are gonna close for the day, either to celebrate christmas or just simply take the day off.

There are a lot of religions that celebrate Christmas besides catholics. About 85% of the US population DOES celebrate Christmas, not counting the unpolled illegal Mexican Immigrants, who are almost always Catholic and also celebrate. None of that 85+% wants to work on Christmas.
Don't you have any respect for those of us who do celebrate?
