So many of us live in the state with the children of other parents on here. and they seem to live in the state with our children. Could we just swap for holidays and form one huge family?!

What a neat idea!!! You think you can get the kids to go for it?

EDIT: For the person who thinks you are seriously talking about small children. Were were talking about grown children living far from home and it was a Joke. Use some common sense when you read these questions.

That's the most dangerous thing I have every heard of doing with your children. There are far too many perverts & pedofiles using these internet sites. Just because they sound like they are nice, in no way should you think that they actually ARE nice. Your childrens futures are in your hands. Why would you want to chance a thing like the "swapping" of your children? You are playing with FIRE & it's just not worth the risk to put your child in an unsafe situation. If you want to travel, then go with your children or wait until they are older & can get into a student exchange program that is affiliated with a reputable group who have passed background checks & have a solid reputation.

I think it would be great! My kids are married and living far away, so I don't get to be with them at Christmas. Wouldn't it be fun to have someone drop in on them and say, "Hi! I really don't know your mother, but she said to come over and have a cup of eggnog with you." Last week on YA, some couple was asking about places to go when they have their anniversary in the city where my kids live, so I gave them some suggestions, including going to hug my baby grandchildren for me. I can hear my kids now on the phone, telling me about all the people that drop in to hug the babies!

That's a great idea, my 21 year old son is in the Florida Keys and would love to be here in Texas with me. Anyone have grandchildren in Texas?

In the military we often have orphan dinners for those who can't make it home for the holidays. I've been on both ends of them and think they're great. It doesn't have to be blood to be family.

I don't know if that would work, truthfully, when they were teens and rebellious I thought about trading them in for a newer models though, LOL but even the "dealership" didn't want them.

Hmmm...Wonder how the kids would feel about that? Swapped for awhile...sounds like grounds for a lifetime of emotional problems at best.
