Because Americans don't like traitors and when they hear Harry Ried saying we have already lost a war while our people are still fighting and according to all recent accounts winning, it angers most Americans. When Virginia's new Senator Webb refuses to send the equipment his own son in Iraq needs it angers us. When John Kerry votes for the war and immediately started sabotaging the effort it angers us. When Jack Murtha calls our soldiers "cold blooded murderers" without any evidence and it turns out the accused soldiers did the right thing it angers us that a Congressman would be so evil.
Americans hate treason. That is one reason why Congress has an approval rating less than 1/3 as high as the Iraq war.
There are many others, but stealing money from workers to give it to welfare bums is minor compared to the treason Democrat leaders commit on a regular basis.

Oddly, most people have a high regard for their particular congress critter....that's why they keep getting re-elected. Besides, not 'liking' congress is almost a national sport....it really doesn't mean anything. Also, the 'democratic' congress is only 'democratic' by a couple of votes....not near enough to give democrats, even if they were united on all issues, which they're not, much chance to pass any kind of realistic legislation in the face of a powerful minority and a presidencial veto. The question itself is one of those right wing radio ditto-head chops......BS to muddy the watter. You've been revealed!

Thwey were elected to undo the damage caused to this country by the Republican Administration. They have failed to do this. The majoriety of Americans do not understand the principals of our governement which was meant to protect the rights of the minority and with only a small majority it is not constitutionally possible to get anything done. Add to that the rules on the senate and they cannot get anything done. The degree of disapproval is an indicator of how badly the vast majority of Americans are anxious to undo the damage that has been done to this country by the Bush administration. The resolution will come in 2008 when we will not longer have a Republican in the white house to veto things like funding embryonic stem cell research which 65% of American want, coverage for children under Schip and getting us out of the Iraqi civil war.

The Democratic leadership in Congress convinced some
foolish Democratic legislators to vote for the Peru Free
Trade Agreement. Our Congress recently passed a law
which will phase-out the use of incandescent light bulbs.
CFL light bulbs, which will replace incandescent light
bulbs, have mercury in them!!!!!!! What a truly not very brilliant move by Congress. The environmental movement
will not enjoy watching high levels of mercury pollute our
environment.Mercury is pure poison!!!!!

With "leaders" like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, it is no wonder that the Democrats have earned the nickname as the "Do Nothing Congress".

Because they have not done anything since they got in. They continually try to control the media by showing bills like the healthcare for kids bills but forget to mention the other few hundred pages that are attached to it. Luckily they dont have a 2/3 majority or in the next presidency we could end up with another Carter, ts really amazng how fast the neolibs forget about thier crappy leaders to focus on bush and any one else thats republican. Also look at their leadership Pelosi has done nothing but alienate congress against its self and seperate our country. that ***** wont even listen to the president on simple requests. But go ahead and put your thumbs down cause i doubt any liberal made it past the second line.

This is a do nothing Congress . You can blame the Democrats or the Republicans or both but their primary concern seems to be the upcoming election. Neither party has done what they promised to do so a lot of people feel that we have been had one more time.

The democrats have slender majorities in both houses. You really need a bigger majority to get anything done. Hopefully, they will increase their margins after the 2008 election.

Because they won't even discuss securing our borders and ports. They've gotten absolutely nothing done in congress except some huge pork spending bills. They continually try to block funding for the war that is now going in our favor. I could go on but they won't listen anyway.
