It's not a fake holiday. It's to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

He never said alot of things. He never said to walk on hot coals but I don't do that anyway.Does that mean it's wrong or right?
Who told you we were celebrating Jesus' birthday? If it doesnt say it then we must not be. What makes you think it has anything to do with god?
The bible doesn't say God made the sky blue, so I guess he didn't. Or did he?
What difference does it make?

Why did the 3 wise men bring gifts to Mary at Jesus birth?

I think Christmas stopped having anything to do with Jesus long ago and now we just use the holiday as a reason to celebrate family and friends and it also gives the children something fun to look forward to every year.

I'm brainwashed by advertisements and the commercialism of it all. Just like everyone else nowadays who spends ridiculous amounts of money on this fake holiday.
Including those who say they are simply celebrating the birth of Jesus. BS. Check your bank and credit card statements at the end of the month.

I do NOT celebrate this holiday which is a complete scam; nor do I acknowledge St. Valentine's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, the Fourth of July, Hallowe'en, Thanksgiving, Hannaka etc. for similar reasons. In my books, they're based on instilling fear and guilt in those who do NOT adhere to religious claptrap, patriotic nonsense and purchasing useless stuff for oneself and others.

I don't celebrate the birth of christ. I don't really celebrate. I'm just involved with the Winter Solstice celebration for the gifts... BECAUSE I'M A BRAT! There, I said it! XD

its not fake, its celebrating jesus' birth. jesus was born into the world, his only purpose being to die. to die for peoples sin, for my sin, for YOUR sin, because he loves us. it has a purpose behind it. its like asking: why do we celebrate veterans day? to honor and remember those who died for our country. why do we celebrate the 4th of july? to remember our country's struggle for freedom and when we gained it. all holidays have reasons behind them.

and it does not say anything about a christmas tree in the bible, it is something man came up with. today, we are forgetting the true purpose of this holiday and are focusing on the gifts. everyone is forgetting the CHRIST in CHRISTmas, hence x-mas and Happy holidays. it truly is sad.

He never said this! Jesus Christ was born on this earth over 2000 years ago and 33 years later died on the cross so we may have eternal life!
