as a convicted felon they cannot use your record against you for housing acceptance unless you are a convicted sex offender. Most of those have special requirements such as being allowed only to be so close to a child and such. while they can use your credit background against you your arrest record is not subject to application approval. this would be discrimination and place them liable for a lawsuit.
