As in.. me and my sister both have iPods ((new!)) and only one computer, so could one of us use our mom's computer ((that doesn't have iTunes on it)) to charge it?

Yes you can, as long as you have a USB port to connect the cables to. You can also charge your iPod in any of the iPod playing devices, as well as the car device that allows you to listen to your iPod through your radio.
