Dear Yahoo:

Thanks for providing this free QA site. It's provided countless hours of amusement for thousands of people, and occasionally coughs up a hairball of useful information.

We're grateful to you, Yahoo, though we don't know why you do it.

I just posted a link to a question posted by YAHOO....asking how answers has impacted our lives... go answer the question too... there are a lot of answers but who knows they may read some and take them to heart! check it out... a lot of folks said they couldn't find it so I did a cut and paste thing with the link... I doubt it will last long but maybe long enough for some folks to go answer for themselves! And yes... something needs to be done about this abuse!

Yes, yes I know it's a free service. The word "service" means a lot here. When an offer is made one expects the offer to be honored. I do not feel that they are honoring their own guidelines. Period. It's a matter of principal.

Just a letter won't do it. Send some object to the main office. Do what the Jericho TV show fans did to CBS when they announced it would be cancelled.

If you haven't heard about it, the last show of the first season ended with the residents getting ready to battle the next town and their "battle cry" was to be "nuts".

The fans started writing, emailing and calling the network, but the thing that really got their attention (and changed their minds about cancelling) was the forty thousand pounds of peanuts the fans sent to their main office. The info and the reply from CBS is at the following site:

I find it hard to picture 40 thousand pounds of peanuts. I hope they have a large storage room. :o)

Oh Morgan - that is just awful - so sorry it happened to you
you have always been a kind, thoughtful member of Y/A - I saw the question, and to me it was a valid question. I saw how many people had answered and felt that it had all been said, so I didn't answer. I think you should definitely appeal the removal. Hopefully it will be overturned. Don't know if anyone else noticed, but a troll was among us last night with several different identities - I think he/she/it did a lot of damage in just a short amount of time. Make sure in your appeal that you state that 109 people believed it was a valid question - they can't possibly all be wrong.

Good luck friend and a Merry Christmas to you and yours !

Dear Y/A Team & Associates,

Since you obviously have completely abandoned the users of your site in an effort to comply with some unknown plan....I have decided to rename you YA POO POO, because all I ever get is a bunch of rhetorical crap from your automated reply when I express my concerns to "you" via email.
You might want to consider asking CHARMIN to be your next advertising & marketing fiasco with the same ad campaign you used for your GAP ad. Since most of your users no longer have their speakers enabled, then it will fall on deaf ears, just like our pleas for help do.
As a native Californian, I must tell you that I am disappointed in what this site has been allowed to become & the way you treat the very people who have enabled you to get your funding from day one.
Without us, your site would NEVER have been a success & you would not be enjoying your Northern California Lifestyles & travel packages.
If a boycott COULD be pulled off successfully, you might see things differently.
We all know that just ain't gonna happen, so I can safety hit the SUBMIT button & know that no one really cares & the worst thing that might happen is the loss of a few points or the suspension of my account.
This is just another little game of wits & words & I have decided to jump in as a little Christmas Eve Present to myself & the readers of this post....

Happy Holly-Daze, "?"

Writing this appeal already has given you the right to expell tour emotions...I am sure many out there share your sentiment...the most important thing is you were able to get an overwhelming reaction from 108 people....and most importantly you were bale to read them and got deleted...it must be a great question that you got this number of repliers.........good luck anyway, and this is also an opportunity for me to come and express my idea with this appeal of yours!!!Happy New Year!!!

Most all my questions and answers are being removed or getting a community violation so I for one will be saying goodbye to this site and its ever changing rules of conduct. With an overwhelming response such as yours I know for a fact now they are not looking for reasonable people on here, I think they prefer the nuts and the cookoos that report lies and trash.

Does it not move down the page when you hit enter? Do you have the preview pane enabled? Click on the Actions Tab top of inbox list Select Disable Preview Pane Are ads blocking the page? Yahoo and other web sites rely on ads for revenue to host the site, but they can be intrusive sometimes. However, you can block them Perform an internet search for ADBLOCK PLUS and choose the option for your particular browser., there are different versions available for popular browsers. Set it up to block ads on any or all web sites

I've emailed them about this reporting business, but of course they didn't answer. Maybe if everybody did it could make a difference. Who knows? I am beginning to think that computers run Yahoo Answers, not human beings. The computers are programed to give certain responses and that's it.

I remember seeing your question. I was going to answer it but saw their was already a good response to it. When a question draws that many answers it should be up to the Community to decide if it's proper or not. The system is unfair to this type of format.
