Yes, they will once they get their pitching in order.

I'm an A's fan, but have always loved & rooted for the Cubs, also. Was really pulling for them in 1989 over the Giants.

I agree with ghanaplayer111, I don't think either that they will win it anytime soon. The Chicago Cubs might say that they are serious about winning the World Series, but yet they always fail to back it up, they fail to prove that they are World Serious about winning the World Series, so it might not be in yours, or any of your family's lifetime.

Yes. They have the team to go to the world series, but would most likely lose to the redsox, tigers, or yankees.
Their bullpen, will be very surprising next season, along with a decent rotation.

Their lineup is very good being that they are in the NL

Next to my Red Sox it's the Cubs that I want to win.
I want all you loyal Cub fans to feel what we felt in 2004.
It was the best moment in my life and I wish it for the Cubbies!

The Cubs will win a World Series long before thier southside crybaby neighbors (the whiney sux) ever win again.

They will not win the world series until they have a 3 pitchers who can win 16 games, two more hot bats, and two solid relievers.

The Cubs may have really upped their chances by signing Fukudome. If they can concentrate on their pitching problems I'd say its a possiblity.

The law of averages says yes. Their problem, however, has always been the upper management, and some of their idiotic personnel decisions. I believe, they figure, with Wrigley Field being such an icon, they pretty much sell out all the time. There's no incentive for them to produce a winning team. I have trouble believing they'll ever win one at Wrigley.

Don't give up hope. I was asking the same question about the Red Sox a few years ago.

They always used to say that about the Red Sox and the White Sox. Who knows, it could happen?
